Have you ever wondered about where Trump's mindset originated? Roy Cohn was chief counsel to Senator Joe McCarthy in the 1950s. Together they devised Mcarthyism wherein there was political repression and persecution of left-wing individuals and a campaign spreading a fear of communism. In fact, communism was never a threat in the U.S. Currently, we have Trump and his followers who are trying to spread fear of immigrants. Likewise, immigrants offer no more threat to the U.S. than the average citizen. That is to say, the fear is unfounded. McCarthy eventually had to leave politics in disgrace. A generation later and the unrepentant political hitman Cohn taught Trump how to flout the rules and go in for the kill. Trump too will meet his demise... better sooner than later.... for all of our sakes.
